Current Sewing Class Schedule and Availability

All classes are full at this time. If there is a class day and time that interests you, but is full, it is highly advised that you contact the teacher and place your name on one or more waiting lists. Students on waiting lists will be contacted when a space is available, before posting the space on this page.

You are welcome to text Carol at 951.201.2172

Classes are held continuously throughout the year. If a posted class is full or the schedule doesn't suit you, perhaps a future class will.

You are welcome to contact the teacher with any questions.

Rental sewing machines are available for students that do not (yet) own a machine! Rental rate is $12.00, total, one-time, for an entire beginning or intermediate 4 or 5 week class session.

Intermediate/Advanced: You get to attend 4 classes within 6 weeks, from the first date of your intermediate class. Six week limit, even if there are single day holidays within the

6-weeks. Roaming Rules are noted on the Class Attendance Policies page, see tab to left. Same class fee as 4-weekly intermediate/advanced classes: $110.00

FAQ's = Frequently Asked Questions

Why can’t you schedule classes further in advance?

OR

Why aren't there very many class openings?

Answer: Once a student is enrolled, the student may continue after the beginning class session, right on into an intermediate class session in the same time slot as the beginning class. From there, intermediate class sessions are continuous. Unfortunately for new students, this leaves my knowledge of availability for openings to the last minute, when I learn whether or not an existing student will attend another class session. Once a student gets into a class, they will have the same advantage to continue with class sessions as they choose. Thank you for your understanding.

sewing class attendance policies february 17, 2025

Please notify the teacher at least one hour before the class starts if you will miss a sewing class. Notification less than one hour will result in a lost class. Only texting is accepted to inform the teacher of an absence. Cell phone 951.201.2172. Phone messages and emails are not accepted.

  1. Technology/electronic message transmission failures are not the responsibility of the teacher. If the teacher does not acknowledge your text, text again.
  2. No show or no text received by the teacher, for any class = lost class. A class session is a five(5) week session or 10 hours for the beginning classes and a four(4) week session or 8 hours for intermediate & advanced classes.
  3. Classes are continuous, one session after another. Payment is due for the future 4-week session, on the last day of the previous session. Non-payment on last day of se
  4. No refunds, credits, or transfers within 48-hours before class starts.
  5. If a student needs to withdraw from a session, any class(es) remaining will be forfeited by the student. No refunds, future class credit or attendance deferrals, are possible. Missed classes cannot be held as ‘credits’ nor are they transferable to other students nor other class time slots. Teacher-notified (1-hour prior to class) missed weekly classes can be made-up, not refunded.
  6. If an absence is necessary, a makeup class is encouraged. Maximum of one (1) un-made-up absence per 4 or 5-week class session. A second absence requires attending a makeup class to avoid losing the class. Students may have a maximum of two, 4 or 5 week, sessions in a row without an un-made-up absence. Absences in a third sequential session is not allowed therefore an absence must be made up.
  7. Make-up classes, extra added classes, are a favor, and on a space available basis. Make-up classes must be attended within 14 days of absence, in another class time-slot. A space is not guaranteed. If space is not available, the class is lost. Missed make-up classes, extra added classes, and roaming classes cannot be made-up nor rescheduled, nor refunded, they are lost.
  8. Partial absences cannot be made up, if you arrive late or need to leave early.
  9. Classes may be scheduled on a school holiday, but are never scheduled on Fridays, Sundays, Valentines Day night, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Halloween night, Thanksgiving Day/weekend. Nor are classes held between December 23rd (Christmas) and January 3rd. (New Year’s eve/day)
  10. You will be dropped from the class if you miss two (2) class meetings in a row, or do not show up on the first day of a new class session, either, without informing the teacher.
  11. Students waiting for rides at the end of class must be picked up on time. If is student is not picked up within 5 minutes of the end of class, the responsible party will be charged $1.00 per minute, after the 5 minute grace period.
  12. Teacher absences and cancellations, or student absences due to class schedule changes, never go against student attendance. Students are responsible for all supplies and tools noted on supply list. All items can be purchased from the sewing shop.
  13. For first-time beginning students, if you show up more than 15 minutes late or miss the first Intro Class, for any reason, you will not be allowed to participate in the weekly or roaming sewing classes whatsoever, and no refunds will be possible, per rule #4.
